An evaluation process on Agribusiness Capacity Building was conducted by CABI in April 2026 to assess the effectiveness, relevance, and impact of a training program that had been implemented earlier. The agribusiness capacity-building training was carried out by First Bridge Foundation in December 2025 in Homa Bay County and targeted key stakeholders within the agribusiness value chain. The evaluation aimed to review the outcomes of the training, identify lessons learned, and determine areas for improvement to inform future programming.
The evaluation exercise was jointly attended by officials from the County Government of Homa Bay, representatives from CABI, and staff from First Bridge Foundation. Their participation ensured a comprehensive and inclusive assessment process, incorporating perspectives from policy makers, program implementers, and development partners. The engagement of these stakeholders strengthened the credibility of the evaluation findings and supported collaborative decision‑making on next steps for strengthening agribusiness development initiatives within the county.
